Hey. Got a minute and 47 seconds?!

Check out this powerful video made by my uber talented friend and Field Producer for the #worldracedoc, Kendra Harris!

We watched this at the end of the year’s Final Debrief in tears. My favorite part is this:

“The adventure doesn’t need to be traveling the world. The adventures is saying ‘yes’ to the moments God has given you. If we’re willing, he takes us into the unknown. And the unknown is root of every adrenaline rush.”

So here’s what I’m thinking two weeks into coming home.

Wow. The last year of my life was amazing.

And I anticipate every year of life that comes after to be amazing too.

The most repeated comment I’ve received since getting back to the States is this: “Man, I just wish I could do something like that. I feel stuck where I am. But what you guys did…wow.”

I want to encourage you today in this:

Life is an adventure if you chose to let it be.

And it doesn’t matter if you’re volcano boarding in Nicaragua, shark diving in Johannesburg, or doing your thing in America. Hear me say again…life is an adventure and it’s best taken with Jesus as your Guide.

Jesus said it himself and his words were written down in the book of John.

“…I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

So, here’s to more adventures on the road ahead.

I’m thankful to anyone and everyone who’s followed my blogs this year. If you ever want to talk about what it looks like to go on the adventure of a lifetime with Jesus…please don’t hesitate to shoot me a message.

I’ll be here at [email protected]

So what’s next after returning to the States?

In a few days, it’s off to Project Search Light, a month-12 event put on for all returning-Racers at the Adventures in Missions headquarters in Gainesville, Georgia. I’m so excited to reunite with my squadmates, celebrate and reflect on what God did in our lives, and especially, for some killer worship and what’s sure to be pages of journaling.

After that I’m thrilled to be starting a full-time job at my alma mater on Elon University’s campus as the Communications Coordinator for the Office of Admissions! The Lord is so amazing and sweet to provide an opportunity like that while I was still traveling on the Race. I’m thrilled to be back in Elon surrounded by amazing friends, family and community; excited to continue discipleship with high school girls I worked with in Young Life; and just overall excited to see what the Lord has in store for this new season of life! I can’t wait to see how the Lord’s going to use all that I’ve witnessed and experienced these past 11 months to continue impacting me for the rest of my life.

Because I firmly believe, month 11 wasn’t an ending…but a beginning!
